2. Application and Scope

This policy applies to:

  • The BlackRoad Code App published on Google Play.
  • Any website or landing operated by us linked from the App or store listing.

3. What data we process

We collect the minimum information necessary to operate and improve the App. Depending on how you use it, we may process:

a) Data provided by you

  • Email and name/alias (if you create account or contact us).
  • Content of your support queries.

b) Data generated by usage

  • Anonymous or pseudonymized usage events (e.g., screens viewed, time in App, feature clicks).
  • Technical device data: model, operating system, language, timezone, device/installation identifiers.
  • Diagnostics and crashes (crash logs, performance).

c) Payments

Purchase information (transaction status, product purchased, date/time). We do not access complete card data: managed by Google Play Billing.

d) Advertising (if applicable)

Advertising identifiers and metrics to limit frequency and measure performance. You can disable personalization from device settings or within the App when available.

We do not request or process sensitive categories except legal obligation or with your explicit consent.

4. Purposes and legal bases

We use your data to:

  • Provide the service and its functions (contract performance): content access, restore purchases, compatibility and support.
  • Improve the App (legitimate interest / consent): usage analytics, error diagnostics, A/B testing.
  • Operational communications (contract performance/legitimate interest): notices about relevant changes, incidents, support.
  • Legal compliance (legal obligation): billing, fraud prevention, responding to requirements.
  • Advertising/marketing (consent, when applicable): messages within the App or campaigns; you can withdraw your consent at any time.

5. Retention

  • Account and purchases: while the account is active and for the time necessary for legal obligations (e.g., tax).
  • Analytics and logs: by default between 6-24 months according to purpose and configuration.
  • Support: up to 12 months after closing the ticket.

Then, we delete or anonymize the data.

6. Recipients and processors

We share data only with providers that help us operate the App, under data processing contracts:

  • Google Play / Play Billing: purchase and license management.
  • Analytics services (e.g., Firebase/Google Analytics for Firebase) for usage metrics.
  • Crash reporting (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics) for errors and stability.
  • Storage/infrastructure (e.g., Firebase/Google Cloud or other) for backend and files.
  • Support tools (if applicable) to manage queries.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share with third parties for their own marketing purposes without your consent.

7. International transfers

If we process data outside your country, we implement adequate safeguards (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses) and equivalent security controls. You can request a copy of these guarantees at blackroadcode@gmail.com.

9. Minors

The App is not directed to minors under 13/16 years. If you believe a minor provided us data without proper authorization, contact us to delete it.

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data (encryption in transit, access controls, activity logs). No system is 100% infallible, but we continuously review and improve our security practices.

11. Cookies and similar technologies

Mobile app: we may use device identifiers and SDKs (e.g., analytics, crash reporting, notifications, advertising if applicable).
